Hi Srinidhi,
Event Registry - Lists all the events in the System.
Event Log - Lists all the event details when it is triggered. Logs details like Name of event, table, param1 & Parm1.
Reference : Events in Servicenow
Mark Correct if the answer helps.

Hi Srinidhi,
Event Registry - Sort of events/functions that system uses automate activities, such as notifications. In notifications When To Run you have an option to select Event (from event registry) or make it run when inserted/updated.
For additional details check video link.
Also, to highlight adding conditions to notifications directly is something that was established later versions of ServiceNow. Inception version of ServiceNow had Events used for triggering notifications. For more details check thread that has in depth information.
Event Logs - As the name suggests is a log/details of events that occured, when it occured, with certain identifiable parameters for additional check. Refer link for additional details.
