Hi, I ran discovery of our work environment and the windows 10 machines (desktops/laptops) are getting classified under WIndows servers. WMI classify works and in the ECC Q I am able to see the parameters of Windows 10 machines getting discovered, but these machines are classified under Windows server class. I am on New York version and I run credential less discovery since it's for testing purpose.

Hi,
it's not an issue, if you see a "computer" as well as a "windows server" is due to that the Windows Server table (cmdb_ci_win_server) is extended from the Computer table (cmdb_ci_computer).
If you look at these CIs in details, your will see that these CIs have the same "sys id" - so they're basically the same record.
If I have answered your question, please mark my response as correct and/or helpful.
Thank you very much
Cheers
Alberto

Hi,
This is because of the classification criteria we use. in most of them listed below we check name i.e. may be like name starts with Windows 2003. They work based on order's so if one matchs then it will get classified as that device. Computer is last in list as below:
Add your own classification for windows 10 machine.
Thanks,
Ashutosh
