Even if you only have access to Employee Center Standard, here's a simple way you can add a survey to your OOB EC Footer, and get valuable feedback from your users.
- In the platform, navigate to Survey > View Survey.
- Open an existing survey or create a new one for your users to access.
- On the survey record, click the Related Link titled “View Survey URL”. Copy that down somewhere, minus the instance name.
- Now navigate to Employee Center > Employee Center Footer. Open the record for your portal’s footer.
- Set up a Navigation link wherever you want your feedback survey link to be displayed. Best to put this into an existing list of Navigation links. Open the record for the Navigation Links list where you want to include the survey link, or create a new one.
- On the Navigation Links record form, open the reference field record for the “Menu” field (click the "i" icon).
- From the “Instance with Menu” record that opens, you can add your survey link.
- Set the form for the menu item as follows:
- Label: “Submit Feedback”, or whatever you want your link text to say.
- Type: URL
- HREF/URL: This will take the user to the survey. Set this to the survey URL you copied earlier. Make sure the correct URL is referenced. It should look something like this: /<your portal slug>?id=take_survey&instance_id=<sys_id you copied earlier from the survey URL>
