The NOW Experience Dashboard Builder is an amazing interactive tool to build and share dashboards. With clients warming up to the use of Agent Workspace, it becomes a necessity to provide them access to most features inside the Workspace itself for a better user experience.

Steps to add the entire Dashboard Builder as a module inside Agent Workspace

Roles required - admin or workspace_admin

  • Inside Agent Workspace click the user menu on the top right corner and go to 'Configure Workspace'.

  • On the config page, scroll down till you see 'Workspace Modules' related list and click on 'New' to add a new module.           find_real_file.png

  • ID and Label can be anything of your choice, Icon definitions can be looked up from Now Component Library, and Type should be 'Full'.find_real_file.png

  • OOTB only users with the roles - admin, ui_dashboard_builder, sn_ui_builder.dashboard_builder_admin and ui_builder_admin can access the Dashboard Builder, so restricting the module to these roles makes sense. To understand all associated roles in detail see Permissions in Now Experience Dashboardsfind_real_file.png

  • The basic configuration is now done. All that is left is to add the Dashboard Builder app container in the module. This is achieved by the content component named 'sn-dashboard-app-container' and can be selected from a huge list of options referencing to the 'sys_ux_lib_component' table.find_real_file.png

  • You are all set now, go ahead and submit the module record. Navigate to the Agent Workspace with the right set of roles and you will be able to see the newly added module on the left side. Clicking on that will open the Dashboard Builder right inside the Workspace window.

hi @Bhakya lakshmi - were you able to fix it.
I am facing the similar issue, we are tying this in Agent workspace.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
