Few simple features can really save lot of time and user experience moreover helps improve productivity. Everyone is aware of the inline list edit from fulfiller view, but have you ever tried list edit from agent workspace view before Rome release?
Don’t get surprised before Rome, inline list edit wasn’t available and agents has to open each record to update the common data for multiple records.
Enable inline editing for Workspace lists so that you can inline edit one or multiple cells in a list column.
Note: This feature is introduced in Rome release and not active by default.
How to enable?
- In the Filter navigator enter list.
- Select lists.inline_editing_enabled.
- Set the value to true.
After starting inline editing, rights to edit the field are verified. If the field has a dependency relationship, for example Category or Subcategory, then the popover displays all the dependent fields. Buttons appears with complex interactions to confirm or cancel the inline edit.
Inline editing is supported in most common field types. These field types include: boolean, string, choice, reference, integer, date, and date/time.
