I have a duplicate ci called EDI - System2System. i want to remove duplicate without affecting the tickets associated with it.

@Aniket Chavan Can you help with the steps to resolve it. It was not clear in the links.

 

I have set the operational status for the New CI to retire and changed the CI  of the ticket to older one manually. Does it affect or impact?

Hi @karthik65 

 

In this case if you delete the CI, it affect the record. So keep a backup of record where you are changing or , do it like replace the OLD CI with new CI and then delete it from database.
