We have 2 mid servers on each environment and we are planning to relabel and reconfigure existing MID Servers as we are planning add new MID servers and line them with proper naming convention and server account to log in into mid servers.

Can some suggest or provide documentation or links in rename and or reconfigure existing Mid Servers.

Hi Bsk,

There is no problem in changing host for MID Server or MID Server Name as it can be of several reasons like Server crashes etc.

As I can see you have already installed and configured MID Server in your new Host.

When you have installed MID Server there is one file named "confg" , In which you have to change or provide some details of your instance.

Point to remember:

If first time you are configuring the MID Server then no need to stop the MID Server service (stop.bat)  otherwise first you stop that mid server service and after configuring start the service using (start.bat).

change value of following

----> Instance Name : <https://******.service-now.com>

----> User ID and Password of user which can have access to your instance.

----> MID Server Name :  you can give name as per your convenience (Same name will reflect in your instance)

When you see the MID Server in your instance then validate it from related list.

Please let me know if further any problem comes.

Hit like or mark as answer if this resolved your query.
