We'd like to clear out our CMDB in our staging/development instance. There are no records in this instance except testing records. Would it be appropriate to:
1. Navigate to System Definition --> Tables
2. Open the Configuration Item table
3. Open the "Show List" link
4. Select all rows
5. Select Actions on selected rows... delete
Thanks,
--Nate

Hello Nathan,
That's right. The other option is to delete all those records via background-script.

If memory serves me correctly there should be a background script available to tech support that clears out the CMDB.. You might open an incident to find out for sure. If you are looking for individual tables then Pradeep's suggestion has you covered!

Thanks. I did that, and here is the basic method (slightly different than what I proposed):
- Login to the instance
- Navigate to the System Definition > Tables & Columns module.
- Select the "Base Configuration Item [cmdb]" table from list of table names.
- Click on the "Delete all records" button.
