Hi, we're running an on-premise instance and there's no connection to internet. In the system logs I can see repeating log entry (Information type) with text: "Instance registration: unsuccessful: trying again in 5 minutes"
Is this something we should disable when running the instance on-premises?

This was the result from the HI ticket. Problem solved now, hopefully this helps someone else too.
We investigated and can confirm that if you change the trigger type = On Demand - this will stop these errors.
1. Go to the scheduled Item "Register Instance"
https://<instance address>/nav_to.do?uri=sys_trigger.do?sys_id=7a1a3d630a0a0b6100be7e4f070e6cc3
2. Update Trigger Type = "On Demand".
3. Click "Update"
I have created an internal Doc request for the same so that this gets documented.
Given above details and current status, I'm now solution proposing this ticket.

Your post was semi helpful but I would say it's better phrased like this because having the full search keywords didn't work for my on Xanadu and the sysid in that URL is only your instance or version (on-premise)
1. All MENU > sys_trigger.list search on name *register when finding register instance which goes off once an hr or similar.
2. Update Trigger Type = "Disabled"
3. Click "Update"

Open a list of script includes (System Definition --> Script Includes) and search for RegisterInstanceClient.
