Hey -

i added the Activate the Knowledge Management Advanced Installer plugin last week og the week before -

now a user with the knowledge_manager role AND the manager on the knowledge base is NOT able to publish articles which was created by someone else.

the problem is that the publish button is not available when the knowledge manager has not created the article

Is anyone able to help me figure out why and how i change this?

thanks,
marlene

Is it possible to share a screenshot of the user's role info? This can be checked under User Administration > Users> open user's record, then under roles list see if you can find manager role (knowledge.knowledge_manager). Usually adding a member to the knowledge base manager group automatically adds that role. It will be strange if that was removed after the plugin was activated

knowledge manager role is active so that is not the problem. :S

Hello Marlene Bech-Andersen,

Did you find any solution to this, am also finding a way to give Publish access to KB Managers for articles created by other

users. I think it's by OOB they can only save, updated or search for duplicates.

Thanks,

Bharath

hej Bharath,

I spoke with HI and its OOB, which means there is nothing to do. KB manager are not able to only KB owners

Barath,

Is the article in draft state?

Is it read only to the manager of the knowledge base?

Is it editable by owner of the knowledge base?

If yes is the answer to all these then it’s the out of the behaviour with versioning.

Regards,

Rajesh
