Reference: Creating New Models - ServiceNow Wiki
1. How do you display bundled items in the Product Catalog?
There are a few OOB bundles in ServiceNow that you can publish to the hardware catalog. The bundle shows up as an item with no details at all. I understand that you can modify the bundled model description with the details but that's manual work.
Note: Product Catalog - > Product Models -> Bundled Models
2. How do you procure bundled items?
A single PO with 1 line item is created when sourcing the bundle, which is the product catalog bundle. Is this working as expected? To be specific, is there any way to procure bundled items separately from different vendor?
It seems a Product Catalog bundle is designed to match exactly the bundle that a vendor would offer, since you can only source from one vendor.
We're currently migrating our procurement process from HP AssetCenter to ServiceNow. In HP AssetCenter, you can view the items in the bundle and also modify the item quantity as needed. You can also procure the bundled items separately from different vendors. In HP AssetCenter; a bundle is a what the company offer as a bundle, instead of the vendor.

Here are some quick answers. Bundles can be a little tricky. They are really designed to help facilitate the creation of grouped assets, but they do not work as well with the catalog today as I would like.
- You need to add the Class field to the Bundled Models form. With this field, you can then change the Class to Hardware, which will allow you to publish to the Service Catalog.
- Ideally we would see the different components of a bundle break out in a request the same way it does when you create a new asset from a bundle. It does not do this today, so it would require some work to make this happen. It is something I have started to look at and will post when I have a solution. Perhaps someone else has already created something around this and can share.

Hi Ben,
We have similar use case to use bundles and publish them as catalog item and use it to procure the included component.
Do let me know, if you have come to a logical solution on this?
We are planning to include a UI page to include the components in published catalog item.
Regards,
Shilpa

Hi guys,
has someone already a solution for this? We are facing this behaviour, too.
And there are two reasons why we need a solution:
- The vendor doesn't have (support) these hardware bundles
- If there are some parts of a bundle in stock and some are not, we can't split it to consume assets from stock and purchase missing items from our vendor.
Maybe someone has a solution for this? 🙂
Kind regards,
Dominique
