Restrict Dashboard Data Based on Logged-in User's Plant

I have a requirement for a Dashboard where multiple Plant Heads will access the same dashboard.

The requirement is that each Plant Head should only see data related to their own plant/site. For example:

• Plant Head A should see only Plant A data.
• Plant Head B should see only Plant B data.

We would like to avoid creating separate dashboards for each plant and instead use a single dashboard that dynamically filters data based on the logged-in user

Could anyone suggest the best approach for achieving this.

Restricting Data Inside Dashboard Widgets

If you want the dashboard shell to be visible or shared, but the underlying data constrained by the user's identity or role:

• Dynamic Filters / Dynamic Queries: Configure individual reports inside the dashboard widgets using dynamic conditions (e.g., setting the assigned field to javascript:getMyAssignments() or dynamic me) so the data automatically filters based on the logged-in user viewing it. [1, 2]

• Access Control Lists (ACLs): Rely on underlying table-level and field-level ACLs tied to user roles. If a user lacks read access to specific records or tables via standard ServiceNow security rules, the widgets will automatically omit or block that data from displaying. [1, 2]
