Update AI Search Result Behavior in ESC Portal

Hi,

1) Could you please help  how we can update the AI search results so that they open in the same page instead of launching a new browser tab in the ESC portal?
2) Would like the results page to display the search query entered in the homepage search box when I perform a search in Employee Center Portal. Currently the search query remains empty.
