user gets log out successful message when logging into portal

We have 8 users who when they try to access the  portal get the message that they have been successfully logged out.  tried clearing the cache and typing in the url  - but to no avail.  Anybody else had this problem?

Hi June,

 

Is there an SSO in place? If so, can you check at Identity Provider's end if the profiles are correctly configured.

In addition, also check if there are user_names (User ID) duplicated for the users with one being active & other being inactive in User table.

Hi, i am receiving similar message but based on the answer above, i think, its probably because i did some error in enabling sso configuration in my dev instance. Unfortunately, i am unable to reverse as i cant login.

How do i fix it?

Please check if the user is active.

Yes, its active . But as i stated, i did a mistake in SSO enablement in my dev instance which is why this error is exhibited . question, here is how to reverse it or atleast be able to login?
