Catalog Item Variable Not Visible in List View While Variable Set Variables Are Visible

I am facing a issue where I am not able to view a variable in the list view of a table. Although the variables present under variable set are visible but the variables present under variable of a catalog item is not visible in list view. I even tried creating a specific view including that variable but still its not working. Please can someone help in this case

Variables belonging to a Variable Set are stored/related differently, so they may not appear in the normal list-layout field picker.

check these - 

If the list is sc_req_item, the variable should be available through the catalog-variable mechanism Service Catalog → Catalog Variables → Variables

Open the variable and verify that its Catalog item field points to the expected Catalog Item.
