Hi All,

while connecting to Assistant Designer page, I am able to see the below error page.

can anyone please help me on this. I am unable to see the "Create assistant" button. Kindly note that I do have verified all the applicable roles for the user and plug-ins installed for nowassist.

Hi,

This exact “Error loading assistants” message is not described in the available documentation or Community threads, so a confirmed cause cannot be identified. The guidance below is based on the documented requirements and similar threads.

The documentation states that Assistant Designer is available only when a Now Assist product is installed, and lists virtual_agent_admin or admin as the role required to configure assistants. Since you have already verified roles and plugins, the items below are the next areas to review. The greyed-out Create assistant button in your screenshot is consistent with the page failing to load rather than a missing role.

  1. Check which user you are logged in as, and test with a user who has the admin role.
  2. Open the browser developer tools and review the Console and Network tabs. Note any failing request and its status code.
  3. Open sys_generative_ai_log.list and the system logs, and look for errors at the time the page was opened.
  4. Go to All > Now Assist Admin and confirm the Now Assist application and its plugins are installed and healthy.
  5. Check your plugin versions against your release family and patch level.
  6. Repair the Generative AI Controller plugin, then the Now Assist plugins.
  7. Open All > Conversational Interfaces > Assistants and confirm the default assistants exist.
  8. Try a different browser or a private window to rule out cache issues.

Community posts describe the Now Assist panel failing to load after upgrading to Zurich Patch 1. That is a different screen, but it may be related if you recently upgraded. Test any repair in a sub-production instance first.

If none of these steps resolve it, log a Now Support case including the screenshot, your release and patch, the failing network call, and the relevant log entries.
