Can’t wait to try it out, spend most of my day in classic Studio. Can’t get my PDI past Patch 1 Update 2 yet.
Will we be able to submit to pipeline without popping over into AES?
And under Other section, will every record type vi shown there or will there still be a need to open application files whenever files are not known by studio?

Does the new studio have source control integration? I can publish an app that is not connected to source control. However, ones that are connected to source control, fail with the error below.

Http Status: 400
Status: 3
Status Label: Failed

In the new ServiceNow Studio is there a way to configure git code repos and commit code changes? I can't find it. I thought I heard it had feature parity with legacy Studio, but this is a big use case that appears to be missing. Or is ServiceNow recommending we use Publishing apps to the App Repo instead of using Source Control?
@Andrew Barnes - are there plans to add git code repo tools to ServiceNow Studio like we have in Legacy Studio and App Engine Studio?

Hello,
I'm joining with the same question
will there be "servicenow studio" source control integration?
it seems like a pretty important feature I think and it looks like the old studio will eventually stop existing/working - https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/xanadu-application-development/page/build/applications/concep...
Important: You've landed at the legacy version of Studio, which will be supported until the Australia release in Q1 2026. Try building and editing apps in the new version of ServiceNow Studio instead. For more information, see Building applications with ServiceNow Studio.
Thank you

I'm not able to install the new Studio in my PDI (Xanadu Patch 7). I've synced the Application Manager and it's not visible there.
In the documentation there is a link for installing it in the PDI, but the link takes me to the Store where I cannot get it as I cannot log in to the store with my PDI email
How do I install the new Studio in my PDI?

You are going at the wrong place
You need to go to plugins in PDI
Search for ServiceNow Studio

@Dr Atul G- LNG I tried that. I synced the Application Manager (Plugins) so that I should have the latest store applications (Last sync with store Jan 30, 2025, 2:04 AM). Then I updated the ServiceNow Studio product so that all included plugins should be installed and updated.
I still only find the "Legacy" Studio after doing that. I also tried logging out and in again

Look like a PDI issue, if you don't have much work in PDI, try to reset it and then try.

@Dr Atul G- LNG I have spent way to much time to install and update applications so I don't want to start from scratch again 😅
I had some similar issue with Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns that got solved after some time, so maybe I will stay cool with this issue and see if it gets solved later, maybe with a instance patch.
Thanks!

@Dr Atul G- LNG My bad, I was on a Release Candidate patch of Xanadu. As soon as I upgraded to Patch 4a, the new ServiceNow Studio is now showing for me!

Hi,
We are on Yokohama Patch 2. The new Studio Looks great but lack of Github support is preventing our office from using it.
We don't use Updatesets for custom apps, any plans to add source control support to Servicenow Studio?
Thanks...Gary Fawcett
