app is not uploading to studio

Hi,

We  have created app with sys_app_<sysid>.xml under repo/src/main/..../scope folder. But when i try to import app from source control on studio , it is generating error : "Repository does not contain an Apllication file to import". I am trying to do this to check in 500 + files from that instance. Can anybody throw some light on this?
