PDI dev304110 Still Offline After One Week – Known Infrastructure Issue

Hello ServiceNow Team,

I am following up regarding my Personal Developer Instance (dev304110).

My instance has now been offline for one week. Initially, I received the message that there was an internal error, and later the portal indicated that my PDI was temporarily hibernating due to an infrastructure issue.

The status is still Offline, and the only available action is "Release instance."

This PDI contains several practice applications, including an important Korean Apartment Maintenance project that I have spent a significant amount of time building.

Could you please let me know:

1. Is my PDI recoverable?
2. Is there an estimated timeline for resolving this issue?
3. Should I continue waiting, or should I release the instance and request a new PDI?

I would appreciate your guidance before releasing the instance, as I do not want to lose my work if recovery is still possible.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @gilbertelin

It looks like this is a known issue.

There is no official support for this issue, so it is difficult to say exactly what is causing it or when it will be resolved. At this stage, patience may be the best option while waiting for a fix.

An infrastructure-related issue beginning on July 22 caused the ServiceNow Developer Site to become temporarily unavailable and affected the availability of some Personal Developer Instances (PDIs).

The Developer Site is now back online, but some PDI-related actions remain paused while ServiceNow continues to investigate and resolve the issue.

Current status:

  • Developer Site: Available
  • New PDI provisioning: Paused
  • PDI reclaim and wake actions: Paused
  • Existing PDIs: Some remain offline
  • User action required: None at this time

ServiceNow does not expect any data loss. Affected PDIs are currently hibernating, and the data stored on them is expected to remain available once the instances are restored.

If your PDI is offline, you will need to wait until it becomes available again before accessing your data. No action is currently required.

ServiceNow is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

Hello,

Thank you for your update.

I logged into the Developer Portal and refreshed my instance as suggested.

However, my Personal Developer Instance (dev304110) is still Offline. I also continue to see the banner:

"Your PDI is temporarily hibernating due to an infrastructure issue. Our team is working on a fix now."

I have attached a screenshot for reference.

Could you please check whether my specific PDI is still affected or if it requires manual recovery?

Thank you.
