Hello ServiceNow Team,
I am following up regarding my Personal Developer Instance (dev304110).
My instance has now been offline for one week. Initially, I received the message that there was an internal error, and later the portal indicated that my PDI was temporarily hibernating due to an infrastructure issue.
The status is still Offline, and the only available action is "Release instance."
This PDI contains several practice applications, including an important Korean Apartment Maintenance project that I have spent a significant amount of time building.
Could you please let me know:
1. Is my PDI recoverable?
2. Is there an estimated timeline for resolving this issue?
3. Should I continue waiting, or should I release the instance and request a new PDI?
I would appreciate your guidance before releasing the instance, as I do not want to lose my work if recovery is still possible.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
I have been refreshing my instance as suggested for several days, but my PDI dev304110 is still Offline and still shows the infrastructure issue banner.
Could you please confirm whether my specific PDI is expected to recover, or whether it is unrecoverable and I should release it and request a new PDI?
Thank you.

Hi @gilbertelin
It is difficult to say, but based on what I have heard from community members, people are getting the same PDI back. It may take some time, but don’t lose hope.

Hello,
Thank you for your previous response and for keeping us updated.
I have been patiently waiting for the infrastructure issue to be resolved. However, my Personal Developer Instance (dev304110) has now been offline for 10 days.
I understand that some users have received their original PDIs back, but my instance is still showing as Offline and I am unable to access it.
Could you please let me know if my specific PDI is still expected to recover, or if I should release it and request a new Personal Developer Instance?
This PDI contains several practice applications, including a Korean Apartment Maintenance project that I have spent a significant amount of time building. I would like to preserve my work if recovery is still possible.
I would appreciate any update or guidance you can provide.
Thank you.

Hi @gilbertelin
Sorry to hear that your PDI is still not available.
I'm not sure how much longer it will take. As community members, we don't have visibility into PDI provisioning, and since PDIs don't come with official support, it's difficult to say when—or even if—you'll get the same PDI back.
I understand you've done a lot of work in that PDI, but unfortunately, other than waiting, there isn't much that can be done. If possible, you could request a new PDI on the latest release and continue your work there.
If your original PDI does become available again, that's great, but at the moment there isn't another option I can suggest.

Hello @gilbertelin ,
This appears to be an internal issue on the ServiceNow side, so I'd recommend being patient while they resolve it.
I experienced the same issue with my PDI. It went into hibernation and displayed the same message you're seeing. After some time, it came back online and recovered automatically. Interestingly, it happened again yesterday, but my instance was back online today without any action from my side.
Hopefully, your PDI will also recover once the issue is resolved. In the meantime, I'd suggest waiting for ServiceNow to restore the instance.
If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution.
Regards,
Aditya
