Search Result Formats Between Self Service Portal and SNOW

Howdy,  Forgive the Newbie question. I hope I have the correct forum board.  And I am not the app admin for the Self Service Portal  here at the county.

I am trying to improve the search experience in the Self Service Portal KB for our end users.  I am attaching two screen captures.  The first image is what I see in the results list when I use the Category filters.  The second image is what I see when I use the Search bar and search on a keyword.  

Is there a way to have the search results list display like the first image when I use the Search bar and search on a key word?  The difference in the look and feel between the two pages is very jarring and I want to give the end user the same experience regardless of the method used to look for a KB Article.
