I have started learning ServiceNow and I am trying to create an app in my PDI. I am following the steps as mentioned below.
1. Go to navigator and go to My Company Applications.
2. Click on Create, it then opens up another window to open ServiceNow Studio where I need to provide Name and Description and select if it is a scoped app or gobal.
3. After adding the details, click on Continue and in the next window keep the roles as it is and click on Continue again. This is when I get the error - This Scope Is Already Taken by Another Application' Error in ServiceNow.
This happens no matter what name I use and I tried with many - such as My Unique Devices, or my name devices or Device Management or Test Application.. I even reset my PDI 2 times to see if that helps.
I also checked in sys_scope.list but I could not find any scope with similar names that I used. I am not sure what is happening. I am stuck and cannot continue. Please help. I have added screen-print to show you the error. If anyone needs any further information to help me , please do not hesitate. Thank you all.

Hi @RetinaKumar
Solutions
1. Use ServiceNow Studio or Creator Studio:
- These tools allow you to specify and modify the application scope during creation.
- Ensure the scope identifier you choose is unique within your instance. See next section.
2. Check Existing Application Scopes:
- Navigate to the list of scoped applications by typing
sys_scope.list
in the application navigator and pressing Enter. - Review the list to see if the desired scope already exists.
3. Choose a Unique Scope Identifier:
- If a conflict exists, modify the application name or manually set a distinct scope identifier to ensure uniqueness.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
