Variables data is missing after exporting to excel.

We created a report on sc_task table and added few columns those are the variables in the ritm and not visible on the task, in the report in back end I can see the data but after extracting to Excel the data for those variable columns are showing as empty.

So I thought of creating the report on RITM table but the end user requirement is to get the task number then I thought of creating a database view. with that when I am adding columns related to variables after saving again the variables in the columns are missing?

Any right approach any one can suggest.

Could this be related to how catalog variables are handled during export?

Catalog variables, are not regular fields on sc_task; they are linked to the RITM/catalog item. If the variables are showing in the report but the values are missing only in the Excel export, it could be related to how the variable values are resolved during export.

As a test, I prefer to run the report from sc_req_item instead of sc_task and check the excel export. If the issue still occurs, I would check the variable types and the report/export configuration, especially for Reference, List Collector variables.

We can create on RITM table but in the report they also need task number and task assignment group

Yes This is even happening for admin only after exporting the data report to excel.
