I have created one utility project and shared on ServiceNow share website. I would like to share with the community.

This project includes script include "ScrumEpicDeepCopy" which is called in UI action "Copy Epic".

The "Copy Epic" Ui action will be available on Epic form (rm_epic.do) for user to click as related link if class name is same as "rm_epic" and has appropriate access to create an Epic.

The script include "ScrumEpicDeepCopy" contains logic of copy function that extends OOB script include "DeepCopy".

This project provides ability to copy an existing epic by using related link. It helps project/scrum team to work efficiently and increase productivity by saving their time in case they want to use existing epic details.

For more details please check out this link.

Please note that currently this functionality is not available OOB.

Kindly first try in PDI and review changes from update set, test in thoroughly before moving to customer instance. Happy to take any feedback!

Please mark any helpful or correct if this solution helps.  It also helps others to find their solutions.

Hi Priyanka!
I love this feature.  Thank you for sharing.
I have a customer who is requesting this feature, in addition to some other functionality.  Specifically, when the epic is copied, customer would like to copy all stories and story tasks associated with that epic.  Additionally, customer would like start and end dates for epic, stories, and story tasks cleared out and today's date inserted.  Finally, customer requests that the word "clone" not be inserted in front of names for epic, stories, or tasks.
