Benvenuti a Roma!!
It's that time of year again!! The Rome release is upon us. Here is the list of the new features and changes in the Rome release for PPM. The full list can be found here.
Rome is now available for PDIs. Go see what Rome has to offer!!!
Key features in Rome-
- Creating an Idea from a Universal Request.
- New non-monetary benefit plan
- Business Stakeholders can FINALLY see work notes in the Demand and Program tasks.
- You can now manage operational resource plans from the Resource Allocation Workbench
New in the Rome release
- Better together: Universal Request and Innovation Management
-
Integrate Innovation Management with the Universal Request application to extend the capabilities of Universal Request. The integration provides the following functionalities:
- Create an idea from a Universal Request for a new product, feature, enhancement, or change.
- Transfer the idea to another department with or without resolution for further evaluation and execution.
- Demand Management
-
- Users with Business Stakeholder role can view the work notes added to a demand task.
- Schedule the approved start and end dates of demands without direct impact on the demand planned dates. When a demand is converted to a project, the approved dates are carried as approved dates for the project. The planned start and end dates of the demand are carried forward as the planned start and end date for the project. For more information, see Create a demand.
- Create non-monetary benefit plans to capture the potential benefits (non-financial) accrued by the demand.
- Associate monetary and non-monetary benefit plans so that you can capture the potential benefits (financial and non-financial) accrued by the demand.
- When you create a baseline for a demand that has non-monetary benefit plans, the non-monetary benefit plan baseline records are automatically created and listed in the Benefit Plan Baselines related list.
- Project Management
-
- Create non-monetary benefit plans to capture the potential benefits (non-financial) accrued by the project.
- Associate monetary and non-monetary benefit plans so that you can capture the potential benefits (financial and non-financial) accrued by the project.
- View the Non-monetary Benefit Plans report in the project Analytics tab for non-monetary benefit plans information for a project along with its associated benefit plans.
- View the Non-monetary Planned vs Actual Benefits report in the PMO dashboard and the project Analytics tab to compare the total planned and actual benefits (non-financial) for a project.
- When you create a baseline for a project that has non-monetary benefit plans, the non-monetary benefit plan baseline records are automatically created and listed in the Benefit Plan Baselines related list.
- Program Management
-
- Users with Business Stakeholder role can view the work notes added to a program task.
- Resource Management
-
- Reduce the duration of an allocated resource plan and deallocate resources in one action without having to do so individually for each resource.
- Create and manage operational resource plans from the Resource Allocation Workbench without having to navigate to the operational resource plan form or list.
- Allocate newly added members of a group in an already allocated operational resource plan for the same group.
- Restrict resource plan dates to go beyond the project or demand dates to avoid discrepancy between project or demand dates and resource plan dates.
- Quick start tests for Project Portfolio Management
-
After upgrades and deployments of new applications or integrations, run quick start tests to verify that Project Portfolio Management still works. If you customized Project Portfolio Management, copy the quick start tests and configure them for your customizations.
