Adding child Task on project tasks on planning console.

I want to understand what are the scenarios when Servicenow allows you to right click and add child task on a project task on the planning console. I see that some times when right click, it shows "Add child Task" and sometimes it doesn't.

Like it shows different set of options when right clicking on the project tasks in the planning console. Is there somewhere it is defined based on what these options show or not show?

Please help.

Thanks!

@Chandler2 ,

Could it be that the project task in question is defined as an agile phase or a test phase? Those project tasks don't support addition of hierarchy of project tasks under them because they are intended for something else. Agile phases can contain stories and test phases can contain test records. Agile and test phases can be defined in the project workbench. Agile phases can only be added if the execution type of the project is agile or hybrid. Agile are shown in the planning console with a circular arrows-icon, see screenshot and the test phases are shown with a magnifying glass icon. The "phase type" property of a project task will tell you whether it is an agile, test or waterfall phase.
