When viewing a Demand, Project, or Program in the Alignment Planner Workspace, is there an easy way to link over to the related Execution item?
I've had several occasions where I notice that I'm missing a milestone on a Project or need to edit some field on a Demand that does not appear on the Planning Item view. It'd be great if there were a menu option or easy link to open the related Execution record in a new tab.
I've tried adding the Execution Item field to the Form Layout, but that does not allow the user to click through from the Workspace.
Our users get confused about why they can sometimes create new Milestones for some types of items but not others. Having to explain to them that they have to jump out of APW, search for the related record in the regular UI, and then make the update doesn't go over well.

Hi Stacey!
The PM team has already been discussing the need to create a link for the November release. I see you have included "Program" in your list. Are you using APW to plan programs? Our usage data has most customers planning demands, projects, and epics.
We are looking to make some exciting changes in APW and if you are planning programs, we would love to talk to you about what you are doing.
Please feel free to reach out to me at carina.hatfield@servicenow.com so that I, or one of the PM's on the team, can speak with you if you are interested.
Thanks!

just realized how this works, it is not that easy to find
it is here in the docs, not that easy to find
and I found the explanation in the Powerpoint "SPM - Strategic Planning - Workshop Presentation - Vancouver" slide 121
- If you use PPM, Agile 2.0, or SAFe as your current execution systems, you can integrate Strategic Planning with these applications. In the Strategic Planning application, this is called the ServiceNow internal integration.
- With this integration, portfolio managers can use Strategic Planning to create a high-level roadmap that ensures alignment, and project managers can use PPM to do detailed project planning.
- In the same way, portfolio managers can plan for high-level epics in Strategic Planning, and product owners can break them down into stories or features to execute them in Agile Development 2.0 or SAFe.
And you have to activate (and configure) this here
