Approval Required on Decision Form

Hi,

 

Looking for quick help related to 'Approval Required' field on Demand Decision field. There is a question from customer that how/who does this Decision gets routed when 'Approval Required' is Yes on the Decision. Can someone help/ explain what is the business use/ case behind this field on the Decision form?

This should be self explanatory no ? Since decision is associated with demand the field just states whether decision record requires any approval or not. Check below

Hi,

 

Thank you for your quick response. I was wondering if there are any scripts/ approval flows by OOB when Approval Required is Yes since I did not find any in the system. Just wanted to know out of my curiosity that why ServiceNow introduced this field if no approvals/ scripts/ policies/ validations are not configured in the baseline system.

When this field is set to "Yes" I would expect that we can add an approver somewhere on the form (related List) and trigger formal approval on the Decision Form itsself.

This works similar for a Demand record, but I don't see where to add approvers on the Decision form.
