We are currently implementing the Resource Management Workspace for our organization. We noticed that whenever we are creating Resource Assignment system is creating resource plan in allocated state directly even if the Resource Assignment is not Approved by the Resource Managers OR Resource Assignment is still unassigned state. We are not seeing any relation between the "Resource Status" of the Resource Assignment VS "State" of the Resource Plan.
I do appreciate if anyone can help me to understand the above-mentioned resource assignment process gap. Thanks.

Hi Prodipto,
With the new functionality of resource assignments, resource plans are created for a combination of resource assignments do not have 1:1 relationship with resource assignments. And since the resource plans do not have a 1:1 mapping with the resource assignments, they cannot have same status as that of resource assignments. If you have started using resource assignments, then please do not bother how the resource plans work anymore.
