I'd like to know the best practice for dealing with a demand record that we essentially want to cancel. To us, neither defer nor reject is an appropriate synonym for cancel and have their own uses.
I realize we can add an additional state ourselves, but I wanted to hear from others who might have done this or have chosen a different approach. We do our best to stay OOTB, and because OOTB reporting can be affected by whatever decision we make, we'd like to make the most informed decision we can.
If you've added a state called "Cancelled," what do we need to know? What else do we need to consider?
