Cost Plan on Projects and Services

Hi,

I am lookig for a way to have an Overview of the planned costs both on Projects (and Demands) and Business Services. I found that Expense Lines for example could be related to any object:

Expense lines integrate closely with asset management, CMDB, cost management, and contract management, but can be used with any application. The Source ID field on an expense line record can be linked to any record in any table, so expenses can be associated with a wide variety of items, such as a contract, an individual asset, a single configuration item, a software installation, a lease, a service contract, a user, or a group. Expense Line Advantages

Why is that not possible for Cost Plans? Is there anything similar to expense lines for planned costs (OOTB)? Or do you know any reporting solution in order to aggregate Project's and Service's costs?

Service Owner Workspace is deprecated. You can user DPM Workspaces. Here’s the link: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/xanadu-it-service-management/page/product/digital-portfolio-manag...

Hi @Ravi Peddineni

I had a look to DPM. As far as I understood it allows you to follow the status of 1 or more defined application portfolios. But it does that in terms management of open incidents, KPIs, running projects, changes and improvement initiatives, it does not really focus on the costs.

But I also looked at the Cost Management application and found the concept of CI rate card very interesting. Cost Management (servicenow.com)

I wanted to look at the Cost overview module (servicenow.com) but I don´t find it in my instance. It´s a now learning instance version vancouver with PPM and its demo data installed.

Could you maybe imagine why I don´t find it at all (e.g. it is depracted or something).

Do you know about other existing dashboard and reports for cost management that are based on CI rate card costs?

Sorry for late reply.

You will need to install the plugin from the now learning instance or raise a case with SNOW to look into it.
