I have imported a project plan from Microsoft Project into ServiceNow (Helsinki) and placed that into a Portfolio. I now want to take a series of tasks from what is currently one large project in SN and create a sub project from those tasks (i.e., take a summary task and its sub tasks and make that a sub project of the current large project instead of just another set of task in that large project). I hope that makes sense. I'm pretty new to SN and don't see a way to accomplish what I want. Any pointers? Thanks

Hi Greg,
The way to do this is to create a subproject and then use the "copy partial project" option in the menu to pull the phase and subtasks from the original project.
When you select the phase level as the "task" in the dialog box, it copies the phase record and the subtasks.
This won't delete the tasks from the original project, but it will copy them to the new one. You then need to go back to the original project, bring up the phase record and delete it.
While this isn't exactly what you asked for, it will accomplish the same result.

Would you be kind enough to mark the response as helpful and also mark as the "Correct Answer"?
Thanks Greg!
