Date Entry for tasks - Planned dates and Actual dates

I'm trying to update planned start and end dates in SPM and have run into a two issues:

  1. When I enter an Actual Start Date, the Planned End Date updates to the same date.  This is the case even if the Planned Start Date is after the Planned End Date.
  2. Sometimes, when I try to update the Planned Start Date with 'Start No Earlier Than' as the constraint, the Planned Start Date reverts back to the original value and no warning or error message appears.

Anyone have ideas on how to handle these situations?
