Demand Approval and Project Close Approvals

1. I need to create a step for approval between qualified and demand (one that goes to my VP)

• We require the IT VP to approve the demand before it becomes a project. Our integrators built an idea approval workflow, but not a demand one. Can someone give me some bullet points on how to accomplish this (maybe some links for references)

2. I also need to create an approval step and tie it to the project closing (goes to the lead sponsor on the project).

• I have read through all the documentation, but it seems that the project table won't allow for a way to add an approval step in the workflow editor. Can someone give me some bullet points on how to accomplish this (maybe some links for references)

HI @Julia Allen 

Workflow can be used throughout the platform.

You can just build the standard workflow, point the workflow to demand or project table.

Specify the trigger condition appropriately, that's the key. 

example:

In demand, your start condition could be "state changes to Qualified" or it can be any specific activity when demand is in Qualified state.

Once you finish setting up the properties of the workflow just drag and drop the Approval activity into the canvas, set up the user inside the activity.

Follow the same procedure to create workflow for project as well.
