Difference between "Customer Project Management" vs. normal "Project Management for Customers?

Hello,

our company uses SNOW for multiple purposes. One of them is internal (=internal topics) as well as external project management (=for external customers).

We now want to improve the cooperation on project-level and therefore activate the application "Customer Project Management".

As I know the normal Project Management Application, can someone explain to me the differences between these two applications? Especially in terms of roles/personas, content, and front-/backend access/view?

Best regards!

I am unsure what your existing "external project management" deployment actually is so hard to explain the difference.

Customer Project Management provides an integration between Project Management and Customer Service Management.  You must have licences to use CSM before activating Customer Project Management.

Hey there! First off, I want to say thank you for sharing your insights on the difference between customer project management and internal project management. Your article was really helpful in clarifying the distinctions between the two and providing practical examples of when to use each approach.

One aspect that I found particularly interesting was the idea that customer project management requires a more collaborative and flexible approach than internal project management. It makes sense that when working with external stakeholders, there are more variables to consider and a greater need for open communication and adaptability. Your point about the importance of building strong relationships with customers was also spot on – I think that sometimes project managers can become so focused on the technical details of a project that they forget about the human element.
