Disable auto update of percentage complete field in Project record

We want to disable the auto updating of percentage complete field in project record, we found one BR on planned_task table which was updating the percentage field (BR : Update Parent Percent Complete).
although this has stopped the field from auto updating if we modify the project task's state. but in workspace if we update the same tasks status in planning section, its again auto updating the percentage field.

checked the UI builder, and the scripted apis that were getting called but none of it leads to any actual script where the percentage field is being updated.
