Exco level monetary benefits tracking - how?

Across multiple projects I have to be able to track financial savings,  I then need to be able to report upwards to our exco as to what month on month financial savings have been made.

I think we use the Monetary Benefits tab, but how has anyone use it to make sure the benefit is being realised and then dashboard / exported out to our finance team to prove the savings?

Yes - they're monetary benefit plans under a specific project (you can see them in the workspace even if you create them as a record in the form/core ui).

If it is a more granular aggregate/breakdown per program/portfolio you want to get, the concept is the same - it's just the visualization that changes:

In this example, I made a pivot instead, ditched the "actual benefit" and only entered the planned benefit (the one that you define on the monetary benefit itself). So this is the total monetary benefit per project, per portfolio and per fiscal period. You can change the aggregations, group by's as you need (e.g. add program between portfolio and project in the group by's or change the fiscal periods to show quarters or years instead of months etc).

The core concepts though descirbed above remain the same: When you create a monetary benefit plan under a project, breakdown records are created that also point to the program and portfolio that the project belongs to so you can aggregate/report based on your needs at any level.
