Hi all.
Based on the error messages I get when I try and configure the Financials service in the Strategic Planning Workspace, it seems you have to have Investment funding (entities etc.) in place before you can use it.
Is there a way round this? I want customers who have their portfolio managers set their budgets manually on the portfolios, programs and projects to be able to see the month-by-month cost plan, actuals, etc. in the SPW, even if they're not managing their funding from buckets.

Hi @phil_bool_unifi ,
Hope you are doing fine.
What is the error?
You have not mentioned the error but I believe you are getting the error because one of the investment entities is set as "false" and not available in SPW -> Financials. Typically it is shown for Epics as it is not active.
Typically you have to make it true from the All -> Investment Funding -> Setup -> Investment Entities.
I don't know any other user facing way to enable this.
and by the way - after making this true you will do the way you have mentioned above, not the investment funding way - using the generic bucket etc..
If this is not something that you are facing then share the error.
Thank You!

Hi,
Defining Investment Funding entities is one time configuration that integrate financials to SPW. This integration is seamless and it doesn't expect SPW user to navigate or use Investment Funding funtionality explictly.

Thanks, all, for excellent answers here. It turns out the issues were to do with Teamspaces. Yes, we needed to make sure there were investment entities for each type of planning item, but this was complicated by the fact that the instance was using demands and projects from both tsp1_demand and tsp2_demand. Once I'd set up additional investment entities as all of @Namita Mishra, @Vinay3 and @yogesh41 advised, this worked. I feel like I'm just getting to grips with the extra data on the Financials page (the target vs planned totals, for example), but I've definitely taken a big step here. Thanks all!
(It's difficult to decide who to give the 'right answer' flag to, but since Namita was first, I think it fairest she get this one 🙂 )
