Dear community, I am seeking advice on enabling the Financials page in the Project workspace.
I'm running into an issue where the Financials page in a project initially throws a "Cannot access cost plans" error if no cost plans exist. If I create cost plans using the related list in the Project workspace project details, the Financials page loads but does not display any cost plans, even though the cost plan records themselves contain values
What specific setup is required to correctly populate and enable this Financials page?
(Zurich release, newly enabled instance, PPM Standard activated. The Portfolio Planning or SPW not yet required/not yet used),
Thank you very much
A.

seems to be an OOTB behavior.
Did you check in PDI?

Yes, also in PDI, I cannot see what is missing in the set-up, e.g. what plugin or if some configuration is causing this.

Hi @Alpa82 ,
The first step in SPM configuration is to generate fiscal calendar,
The following are instructions to setup Fiscal Calendar (documentation from SPM implementation course): -
Fiscal calendar and fiscal periods
As an admin, you can create fiscal calendars with defined fiscal periods for use with Financial Management and/or other applications. You can define fiscal periods, such as one month, four weeks, Q1 2026, or July 2026.
Questions to ask your customers
Ask your customer a few questions to gather the information that you will need to complete the configuration tasks.
ï‚·What type of fiscal calendar do you manage at your organization? What is the fiscal unit? Month or Quarter?
ï‚· When does the fiscal year start?
ï‚· What is the prefix for Fiscal year? The default is FY.
ï‚· What is the prefix for Quarter? The default is Q.
ï‚· What is the prefix for Month? The default is M.
ï‚· What is the appropriate number of fiscal periods to load initially?
ï‚· After how many years will a task need to be created and assigned to the PPS Admin group so that they can generate future fiscal periods?
Configure the fiscal calendar
Role required: fiscal_calendar_user or admin
1. Confirm that the Fiscal Calendar [com.snc.fiscal_calendar] plugin is activated.
2. Navigate to Project Administration > Fiscal calendar > Generate.
3. Select the fiscal calendar type and update the fields in the fiscal calendar
configuration section based on the answers to the questions.
4. Select Generate Calendar.
Important: After you start working with a set of financial data with a fiscal calendar type, you can’t change to another type of fiscal calendar. Verify that your fiscal calendar can be used with your financial data. If you import records into the Fiscal period [fiscal_period] table, you should validate that they are correct and do not contain any gaps.
After the fiscal calendar has been generated, do not make changes to either the Start date time or End date time fields of fiscal period records to avoid validation issues.
Thanks
Anand
