'Generate resource capacity' job vs. 'Update Resource capacity' job

Hi, Does anyone know if the 'Generate resource capacity' job is also referred to as the 'Update Resource capacity' job? Are they two different jobs or are they one in the same?

Hi @Hala Butres ,

Hope you are doing well.

These are two different jobs.

You can activate the scheduled job "Generate Resource Capacity" to auto-generate the resource capacity at desired cadence.

You can utilize the "Update resource capacity" link to execute the "update resource capacity" job in following scenarios:

• If a user is newly added and you want to update the capacity for the user.
• If the schedule of an existing user is changed and you want to update the capacity of that user.

Hi Namita, I have a couple more questions regarding the generate resource capacity job.

1. If we setup the generate resource capacity job to run as a scheduled job, what dates will be used for the Start month and End month?
2. If we have enabled both the Group and Role for capacity planning under the planning attributes, will the scheduled generate resource capacity job run for both Group and Role?
