How can I find "how to" instructions on thing like Resource Assignments?

I am a Project Manager that is tasked with learning/understanding Resource Assignments and then sharing the information with my fellow PMs. I also trouble shoot for them. Where can I find just some simple instructions on how to use them, how to request more hours, etc. Every time I try in the test environment on my own I get random errors and just need some documentation to walk me through this. The videos I find are geared more toward the Resource Managers. Also, I'm not new to SN, just that our org is new to RAs and have experienced quite a bit of issues recently.

If you scroll down on that page you see a link to specific use cases.

For a more complete understanding, which it sounds like you would need, I would go through module 4 (Resource Management) of the Strategic Portfolio Management Fundamentals course. The first three sections of that module are oriented towards project managers. The course includes hands-on labs, that walk you through useful scenarios, which is the best way to learn for most people. One caveat, however: The labs in that module are dependent on the completion of the labs in the previous modules in the course, which may or may not be relevant to you.
