Hi Shahed,
OOTB Demand Assessment is a very useful tool to collect assessment data from stakeholder's. This data is used by the Demand/Portfolio/PMO team to prioritize the Demand pipelines using the Demand Workbench.
To keep it simple -
- Demand Assessment's has various Metrics Categories viz. Strategic Alignment, Value, etc.
- Each Metric Category will have Assessment metrics to collect the data either through script or assessment method
- Data collected is used to calculate the normalized value and Rating for each Metrics category (item no 1)
- The Value, Risk and T-shirt size score is used to plot the data in the Demand workbench
- The Assessment gets triggered when a demand moves to Screening state to the stakeholders
- Once the assessment is completed
- the Risk, value and Size score are calculated and updated in the Assessment data tab
- the Demand moves to Qualified state
- Also make a note that if a demand is reset back to Draft then all existing assessment gets cancelled and new assessment is generated
Also do refer to this great community posts from
Hope this helps
