Project Status Report - "Save" vs. "Submit".

When a project status report is created, there is both a "Save" and "Submit" button. Both of these save the status report with a state = Work In Progress.  I would expect the "Save" button to create a report with state = Draft which I could work on until I am ready to submit. Am I missing something?

Save is supposed to commit the changes and keep you where you are (on the same form in the record you just created)

Submit is SUPPOSED to "Take you back to where you were last", but I noticed on my PDI with the Next Experience its not doing that.  Acting exactly the same as Save.

Project Statuses are stateless, so there's no such concept as a draft.  The last one for a given project is always the most authoritative to the system.

For Project Status Reports, we’re using the platform default buttons of “save” and “submit” that are available for every record. However, in the case of status reports, both buttons do the same action as we don’t allow users to edit the status report after it’s been “submitted”.

The idea of a draft state is interesting, we would suggest you submit an idea to the Idea Portal (select ITBM/Project) so we could consider this idea as part of the SPM Roadmap. Thank you for your question too.
