How Servicenow determine the process users in our environment?

Is there any report we can use.

Hello David,

An approver_user is a licensed user. That license is a bit cheaper than the ITIL license but that user is more restricted in terms of possible actions the user can do on the platform.

You should get back to your local ServiceNow representant to get full information on prices and possibilities for an approver_user.

Self-Service users have rights to approve the requests waiting for their approvals with out any roles like approver_user. As long as a self-service user is selected as an approver, he/she can approve that request from self-service or from an approval email directly. If you grant role approver_user, there is a fee associated with it.

That's what ServiceNow told us today.   If they are approving from emails then no fees are included.   However when that user logs in they can't see any approvals waiting on them without having the role of approver_user,   which would incur a fee.

The Self-Service user can find their approvals under Self-Service-> My Approvals. They do not need approver_user role to see the approvals and approve them from self-service.

That's what is odd.   When i impersonate a user with no roles there is no Self-Service → My Approvals.   It is simply not there.   This is why I'm confused about this.
