I have a user who created a project by accident and now wants me, the admin, to delete it.
However, when I got to delete, I get the error message that it is in "Work in Progress" state so it cannot be deleted. I cannot change the state as there is one task that is also in "work in progress" state that cannot be changed.
I am not familiar with this module and it appears that when the PMO internal group had this module configured using an outside resource, they restricted the ability to only those with admin role, however I still cannot delete
Any ideas as to why?

Hi
Users with IT Project manager can delete tasks
it_project_manager
Open the below URL and check what delete ACL's are in place
https://YOUR_INSTANCE.service-now.com/sys_security_acl_list.do?sysparm_query=nameSTARTSWITHpm_project_task%5Eoperation.nameSTARTSWITHdelete&sysparm_view=

Hi
Thanks for the Word doc, If you check screenshot, it has multiple Project tasks.
You can only close the project once you complete all the Project tasks.

If you need to delete the entire Project Record you may need to have the "Portfolio Manager" role assigned in ServiceNow.
