How to edit/customize idea portal page (create an idea widget) ?

We have implemented SPM in our instance and my client wanted to make some customizations to idea portal.

in idea portal we have a widget called 'create an idea'

OOB fields are, Name, category and description.

current ask is to add/create new fields. (situation, Background, etc) single line free text. 

how can we achieve this, please help!!

Hello, 

You can clone the OOTB widget IM Create/Edit Idea

Add fields to be rendered in the portal.

Create the same fields in idea table

Mapp field values in the server script part. 

Don't forget to design a solution for the case the idea is converted to Demand, Project, Epic, Story, TeamSpace ......
