Idea Creation from Back End without Category.

Hi all,

 

I noticed that there is no OOTB Category field available for selection when Idea in created from the back end. This results in back end created Ideas not showing up on the Service Portal (front end) Idea list.                                         

 

When weekly Active Ideas reports notifications is generated, we only see the front end Ideas from Service Portal.  

 

Any suggestions on how we can see both front end and back end created Ideas showing up on the Service Portal Idea list and weekly Active Ideas report?

Please elaborate what do you mean by 'back end'? 

Are users creating ideas directly into the database table and that is what you meant by backend? If yes, what is the use case?

Trying to understand to suggest the correct answer.

Hi Namita,

 

By back end I mean trying to create a new Idea from the Self Service module of the Idea application on Filter Navigator and front end is trying to create a new Idea from the Idea Portal on the Filter Navigator.
