When preparing for upgrade, is there a way to track failures in UAT (including multiple failures for the same issue being tested)? We are working on continual service improvement (CSI) and we are trying to determine what we are spending more time on than we should so we can improve in that area and lessen upgrade times. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hi,
You can use a Visual Task board, with all members part of UAT advising them to log their defects as and when noticed during testing to keep track of it.

Yes, there is a way to track failures in UAT. You can use a software testing tool to track and log all failures in UAT, including multiple failures for the same issue. This will help you identify areas of improvement and focus on those areas to reduce upgrade times. Additionally, you can also use analytics and reports to analyze the data and identify trends or areas for improvement.

We are looking into using ServiceNow's Test Management 2.0 tool for test scripts and tracking failures during UAT.

We've found ServiceNow's Test Management 1.0 does the job OK. It's a little cumbersome but does tie well to projects and defects can be created for any tests that fail. I did find some documentation somewhere (though can't remember where... or maybe it was posted in this group) that TM 2,0 is better for unit testing and Agile but TM 1.0 is better for UAT and projects.
