only ASAP and StartOn are valid time constraints for a project invalid update

We have a project record that whenever we try to change anything or even save the project we get the following error. Does anyone have any Idea what this means. There are not project tasks under this project. Please advise.

I found a solution which is to add a Time Constraint field on to the list view and change the Time Constraint field state to one of the above.

Just to give more detail : you go to the project list , add the column "time constraint". Then you can set the  time constraint to "start asap" or "start on a specific date"  instead of SNET or SNLT
