Portal (Customer Portal) view of Project Tasks (Gantt or similar)

Hi all,

 

We are using SPM with CSM and the Customer Projects plugin. This allows us customers to 'off the shelf' have access to some things related to projects (where they are a project contact) inside the Customer Service (/csm) Portal. The things they can see by default are:

-Tasks (assigned to them)

-Project Contacts

-Status Reports (includes Overview (% complete, etc.), Cost/Resource Planned v. Actual charts, Red/Amber/Green status for different dimensions of the project, Key Milestones, and the RIDAC)


What is MISSING and really crucial for us, is some aspect to the real-time project plan. Something similar to the Planning View in Project Workspace that has the Grid/Gantt view of all the tasks, dependencies, durations, etc. so they can visualize the project and where we are on the timeline. This was a feature we had in the prior software we were using and we miss it.

 

We have researched high and low how to add that exact component through UI builder, wrap it in a custom widget, or do something similar, but no clear instructions that I could find. One of our devs has it partially working but because it is API based permissions rather than ACLs we can't figure out how to get the external users (customerservice.customer role) to be able to see it.

 

Anyone got anything working or have ideas? It doesn't have to be that exact Planning view - just anything where we can visualize the Project Tasks and see timeline, dependencies clearly.
